Peter has a broad commercial practice, which in recent years has encompassed shareholder class actions for plaintiffs (GPT, Billabong) and defendants (Centro, Oz Minerals); substantial insolvency disputes (Banksia, Bill Express, Oswal, Saraceni); litigation and enquiries by regulators such as ASIC (BBSW, Murray Goulburn, Fonterra) and the ACCC; major tax and revenue disputes; competition matters; professional negligence claims; mining disputes and international disputes (Sunland).
Peter was admitted to practice in 1980, was appointed a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) in 1987 and commenced practice as a barrister in 1991. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2004.
