Gary practises primarily in commercial, regulatory and tax law.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Gary practised for four years as a Senior Associate in the litigation team at Allens where he worked on large-scale commercial disputes, regulatory investigations and inquiries/royal commissions. Earlier, Gary served as an Associate to the Hon Justice Patrick Keane AC of the High Court of Australia. He commenced his career in the tax team at King & Wood Mallesons.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. He also holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Commerce (with majors in Accounting and Finance) from the University of Melbourne.

Gary also speaks Chinese Mandarin.

Gary is reading with Geoffrey Kozminsky and his senior mentor is David Batt KC.
