We are delighted to announce that the Victorian Government has today appointed Claire Harris S.C as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Her Honour came to the Bar in 2003 where she practised in commercial law, professional and public liability, and public law. During this time, she gained significant experience in acting for insurers and insureds in indemnity disputes and for insurers in conducting defences in liability cases, including class actions. Her Honour was appointed Senior Counsel in 2017.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Her Honour worked at London firm Tite & Lewis specializing in public law in the commercial context, and as legal advisor and prosecutor at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
