Frances practices in commercial and public law, with a particular expertise in constitutional and administrative law. She regularly appears in constitutional cases in the High Court, for plaintiffs, defendants and the Commonwealth and State Attorneys-General. Her public law practice more generally involves a broad range of litigation and advice. She also has significant regulatory law experience (in particular, in competition and consumer law) and has acted for and against regulators.
Before coming to the Bar, Frances was a Senior Associate in the Commercial Litigation group at Allens and an Associate to a Justice of the High Court of Australia. She is a Senior Fellow of the Law School at the University of Melbourne.
