List A Barristers’ status as Australia’s premier list of commercial and public law advocates has been recognised by The Legal 500, which included List A in Tier 1 (its highest ranking) in the areas of commercial disputes, tax and competition, and in Tier 2 in intellectual property and construction. List A Barristers is described by The Legal 500 as “an acclaimed set of Melbourne-based barristers…home to top-flight, well-known silks and juniors…David Andrews is the hugely experienced Senior Clerk and Executive Director.”
List A’s barristers included in The Legal 500 rankings were:
- Commercial Disputes: – Dr Catherine Button QC, Wendy Harris QC, Allan Myers AC QC and Neil Young QC were named as top tier leading silks. Mark Costello and Dr Charles Parkinson were named as top tier leading juniors and Katherine Brazenor was named a second tier leading junior.
- Intellectual Property: – Bruce Caine QC and Helen Rofe QC were named as top tier leading silks. Kate Beattie was named as a top tier leading junior and Warwick Rothnie was named as a second tier leading junior.
- Construction: – Jeff Gleeson QC and Nicholas Hopkins QC were named as top tier leading silks. Nicholas Pane QC was named as a second tier leading silk.
- Tax: – John De Wijn AM QC and Allan Myers AC QC were named as top tier leading silks. David Batt QC was named as a second tier leading silk and Nasos Kaskani was named a rising star.
- Competition: – Michael Borsky QC and Neil Young QC were named top tier leading silks.
- Labour and Employment: – Marc Felman was named a top tier leading junior and Franceska Leoncio was named a rising star.
