Anna Batrouney
Anna practises primarily in commercial law.
Before coming to the Bar, Anna was a Senior Associate in the disputes team of Herbert Smith Freehills in Melbourne. She has also practised in the firm’s London office. Anna was previously an associate to the Hon Justice Crennan AC QC of the High Court of Australia, and also the Legal Research Officer at the High Court of Australia.
At Herbert Smith Freehills, Anna worked on a range of complex commercial disputes, with a particular focus on class actions. Her experience also includes regulatory, contract and insurance matters. In 2019, Anna was seconded to National Australia Bank for eight months.
Anna has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (first class honours) from the Australian National University. Anna also has a Masters of Law from the University of Cambridge, which she attended on a Gates Cambridge Scholarship.

Sahrah Hogan
Sahrah practises in commercial law, particularly in the fields of competition law and consumer protection. She also welcomes briefs in all matters relating to corporations law, insolvency, class actions, intellectual property, construction and insurance law.
Before coming to the Bar, Sahrah was in the regulatory disputes team at the Australian Government Solicitor (AGS) and prior to that, in the competition law team of Herbert Smith Freehills. At AGS, Sahrah gained substantial experience in Royal Commissions and regulatory investigations. She spent a year working as a solicitor assisting the Royal Commissioner into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry and also worked on several high-profile regulatory cases involving the ACCC and ASIC.
At Herbert Smith Freehills, Sahrah worked on a number of large competition and consumer law actions in the Federal Court and advised clients in a wide range of industries on mergers, misuse of market power, cartel conduct and other issues arising under Australian competition law.
Sahrah has a LLM from the University of Cambridge and a BA (Economics) and Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne.

Jessica Moir
Jess practises in commercial law and public law.
Jess is a former Associate to the Hon Justice Hayne AC QC of the High Court of Australia. Before coming to the Bar, Jess worked for over 10 years as a solicitor, starting her career at Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens Linklaters). She later worked as a foreign lawyer with Holman Fenwick Willan in Singapore and as an in-house legal advisor for Shell in Nigeria. Most recently, she was a senior lawyer at the Department of Education and Training.
Jess built up a broad practice before coming to the Bar. Her experience includes general litigation, commercial disputes (in particular, in the fields of contract, commodities and shipping) and public law (in particular, discrimination, human rights, environmental law and regulatory law).
