Renee practises in commercial law. She also has expertise in media law, including defamation and contempt.
Renee's commercial law practice is broad. She has appeared in matters involving director's duties, professional negligence, misleading conduct, collusive conduct and corporations and securities law. Since joining the Bar in 2006, Renee has also obtained considerable experience acting in class actions and other large and complex commercial proceedings, as follows:
2006 - commenced acting for the ACCC in its price fixing action against Visy in the Federal Court.
2007 - commenced acting for Amcor Ltd in its action against former officers for breach of duties in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
2008 - commenced acting for the ACCC in its price fixing action against Patrick Corporation in the Federal Court.
2008 - commenced acting for the applicants in the Centro shareholder class action in the Federal Court.
2008 - commenced acting for the ACCC in relation to the criminal prosecution that arose from the price fixing litigation against Visy.
2009 - acted for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in the Royal Commission into the Victorian bushfires.
2011 - commenced acting for Korean Air Lines in the air cargo class action in the Federal Court.
2012 - commenced acting for the applicant in the GPT shareholder class action in the Federal Court.
2013 - commenced acting for the State parties in the Murrindindi bushfire class action in the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Acted for Channel Seven in resisting an application to restrain it from broadcasting its television programme 'Killing Time': Dupas v Channel Seven Melbourne Pty Ltd (2012) VSC 486 and (2012) VSC 516.
Acted for a shareholder in a proceeding to enforce the ASX Listing Rules and the company's constitution: Oil Basins Ltd v Bass Strait Oil Company Ltd  FCA 1122 and  FCA 1197.
