Maurice Phipps QC signed the Victorian Bar Roll in February 1972 and was appointed Silk in November 1990. His practice included being a mediator and an arbitrator. He was appointed to the Federal Circuit Court in December 2000 and retired as a Federal Circuit Court judge in November 2016 after 16 years. He sat in the family law jurisdiction mostly at Dandenong and on the Gippsland circuit. He is now a mediator. He is a nationally accredited mediator and an accredited family dispute resolution practitioner.
